A holistic, risk-based scoring of the Planned Trajectories detect all sources of risk disturbances: External Risks / Unknowns as well as Internal Risks / Unknowns, and even those inherently assumed risks, such as an Unreasonable Road User. This addresses all safety-relevant failures in Perception, Prediction, and Planning with the AV.

Universal scoring of av cautiousness

Unique limitations and capabilities in every AV make it difficult to universally assess and measure how safe the AV is. With RiskEngine™, all AV Systems can be universally scored based on how well they initially estimate risk compared to the final, realized risk. The greater the difference, the more cautious the AV is.
