Michael Woon gave Retrospect’s presentation at the IEEE ICCVE 2022 Conference at Florida Polytechnic University titled, “Autonomous Vehicle Safety: Solutions Before Standards.”

The following slides touch on the ways the industry can solve the problem of AV safety that go beyond the slow and general standards in this space. It is our belief that technical solutions precede the formation of standards. When one or more technical solutions are realized, then standardization makes sense to leverage commonality among developers and among regulators.
